Individual Membership Renewal

Starting 2024: Youth and adult leader membership renewal is separate from the unit renewal process.

Below are the steps to renew your individual membership.

Check with your unit leaders to see if your unit is renewing your membership, but be aware that if you have multiple registered positions, you must renew yourself to retain all those registrations.

Steps

Step 1 Log in at my.scouting.org

Step 2 Select the notice icon

Found in the top right corner.

Step 3 Select pop-up option

“Registration for John Doe is expiring soon. Click here to renew.”

Step 4 Review Information

Select "Go to payment"

Step 5 Agree to the Terms & Conditions

Step 6 Confirm / Edit Scout Life subscription

Step 7 Enter / confirm Credit Card info.

Your annual fees keep Scouting going, both at the National and local level.
New in 2025, the Council Adventure Program Fee is paid with the individual membership renewal and not to your Unit.
See the fees page for what is included in the adventure fee.
Talk to your Unit leader or Committee Chair if fees present a barrier to renewing.

Step 8 Select "Place Order"

Step 9 Select "Complete Registration"
