Unit Renewal Timeline and District Support Dates

Dates for Canal and Stambaugh are below.

Unit Key 3s will receive Unit Renewal email guidance from the Council Commissioner in September.

Unit Renewal Window opens November 1, 2025. Unit renewals must be completed by December 12, 2025, to avoid a late fee.

Timeline to renew your unit

September 10, 2025

Start updating your unit's leadership (THIS CAN TAKE A WHILE, DEPENDING ON YOUR SITUATION), and confirm people are in the positions they will be in when you renew the unit. Confirm YPT or SYT will be current at the time of renewal for each adult member.

October 15, 2025

Correct any problems with leadership positions. Have your payment method ready to renew. There is a $100 renewal fee.

November 1, 2025

Go to MY.SCOUTING.ORG to renew your unit. Most units will renew in minutes; find out if you are one of them. Others will find out what they need to do to complete the renewal.

We would like a large number of units to be completed within this first week. Open the process and see if your unit can be one of them.

November 1-30, 2025

This is the time to find out and fix any problems you did not anticipate. Contact your District Commissioner at if you need help. See District Support dates below.

Council Registered Units only:

Continue to complete required paperwork. Turn in paperwork to your Unit Commissioner, District Commissioner or District Executive upon completion or attend your district help/ turn-in session. The due date for all paperwork is November 30th.

If you have any issues that prevent you from finishing your paperwork, please contact your District Commissioner or District Executive.

Units with Charter Organizations:

You have no paperwork to turn in.

December 12, 2025

last day to complete renewal without penalty payment.

December 13, 2025

$125 Late fee applied to unit renewals not completed. Completion requires successful online renewal, including payment, all required paperwork completed, and with all required signatures.
